ALOPECIA AREATA

Good evening house, am sure your day has been amazing! well this post is mainly about those suffering different hair loss situations or scalp issues like psoriasis, alopecia areata, totalis, keratosis, etc. Chei this post might seem quite long. (Already scared for my hands , lolz). Ok, back to our gist before I drift off. Today its a little bit about alopecia areata.
what is ALOPECIA AREATA?
Its a particular type of auto-immune disease which involves hair loss that typically causes small patches or spots of baldness, in some cases total baldness. For a lot of affected, the hair tends to grow back after several months. For some others, it leads to permanent hair loss. However, treatments for it to promote the regrowth of the hair works for some and also doesn't work for others.
It can occur at any age but in most cases. It reveals its 1st case in children and teens also. you need to understand that it isn't subject to that.
Symptoms
It shows forth with one or more bald or semi bald spots on the scalp. Also they tend to be round in shape. Well we could say the size of a cap cover at the early stage. Funny enough it develops so quickly most patients don't even know when it occurs. In most cases, a secondary party may be the 1st to notice it even before the affected does. Asides the bald spots, the hair would have a healthy and lively look and wont have any form of scarring. Tough there might be a little redness, burning, scaling and might just feel itchy in some spots. Its also good to know its not subject to the scalp only.
LET ME FAST FOWARD SMALL AND GIVE YOU ANOTHER HINT
Causes
As I earlier said, its an autoimmune disease. Normally the immune system makes lymphocytes also known as white blood cells and antibodies to protect against foreign impurities such as viruses , bacteria, etc. Whereas in autoimmune diseases, the immune system mistakes part or parts of the body as foreigners. For people with ALOPECIA AREATA, many white blood cells gather around the affected follicles which they mistake as the foreigner instead of the germs.
One of the remedies asides the medical treatments; that's very  effective as a  topical anti- inflammatory natural remedy.
I call it alopecia paste.
you need - a bulb of onions, neem oil, fenugreek seed. grind the onions and fenugreek seed together, sift and add the neem oil. it should  be a slightly thick paste but not too thick. rub on affected areas. leave for 10 minutes, rinse and wash your hair.

100% NATURAL MOISTURSING AND STRENGHTENING CURL POPPER.

A lot of people would ask me what is a curl popper? lolz, that's my own form of popping hair gel. not only is this extra easy to make, but for those who decide to go on a budget; this is amazing for controlling frizz, conditioning and moisturising your tresses.

Things needed for the hair popper
-2 tablespoons of gelatine
-2 teaspoons of coconut oil
-1 teaspoon of olive oil
-2 teaspoons of glycerine
-1/2 cup of water
-1 teaspoon of lemon or lime juice
-4 tablespoons of aloe gel or 1 freshly cut aloe plant
-1/2 teaspoon shea butter
-3 drops JBCO
-few drops of tea tree oil
-rosemary herb/lemongrass herb

DIRECTIONS
*In a deep bowl, add water, lemongrass and rosemary herbs together. Allow to sit over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, then drain the liquid after removing the herbs.
*over medium heat, add gelatine to the premixed infusion in a saucepan. Let it sit till the gelatine is completely dissolved.
*In another small container, mix your oils and shea butter together. You can either whip till its extra fluffy and creamy or u allow it sit over low heat so it doesn't loose its healing properties.
*After allowing to  cool, remove the gelatine mixture which, if observed would have a gel-like consistency. Add your aloe gel, and the oil mix.
*place in a blender, blend until it has a creamy silky consistency.
*Add your jbco and essential oils.
voila your homemade popper/gel is ready for use. I call this my own eco styler gel lolz. This works well for all hair types ranging from the type 1-4 hair types, as it has extra hold to it. You can store this in your refrigerator for a week and use, else u add your preservatives in case you have to travel.

HOMEMADE HAIR GROWTH SERUM

hey yall its been a while sha. I have been on the busy mode. preparing for a couple of events. But am here now, that's what matters right. Lolz ,1st of all I apologize for my on and off attitude, I trust my beautiful viewers wont hold that against me right? Lolz okay, a while back I made a comment about a hair serum I was working on in a group I am in. yeah facebook group as most people would readily know and also via some posts. some people asked for the recipe and I was like 'erhm should I just share this out like that? this is my million dollar information' but wth DIY is a beautiful life, sharing is also joy u know. the thing is I love trial and error and working with this. I used this and it worked well for me especially my edges. as I was almost bald. mehn some protective styles are not protective styles, there are destructive styles oh. I learnt from that well. okay back to our post . Here is my own recipe below.
                                        HAIR GROWTH SERUM RECIPE:
ASHA RECIPE:
* Distilled water
*aloe vera (fresh from the plant)
*Glycerine( is actually a very good humectant. would drag good moisture from the air to your hair so with this your hair is moisturized and wont snap off quickly)
*Vitamin E oil
*Coconut/olive oil
*Peppermint oil (what the heck if u don't have that, u can as well forget its optional though)
*Ground nettle leaves , rosemary leaves, neem leaves , all infused in the distilled water though
*Castor oil
 *Ginger juice
*Preservative else u have to store it in your refrigerator because if it goes rancid it could become awful. This combo aids hair growth and it helps stimulate the scalp. also pls do a test patch on your hair before using . enjoy angels as I bring up some other recipes for our use

PEACE , LOVE AND BE NATURALLY GLAMAROUS JUST LIKE CALVIS.

Hey beautifuls, its a beautiful sunny afternoon. I had promised the interview sessions and finally we start with one of the most humble and down to earth divas I have been friends with. Ok the truth is that am not supposed to over hype her but can I help it ? NO! Lolz, I really cant help it because I personally have learnt a lot from her. she is an amazing teacher who is also a beautiful wife and mother. A lot of women find it hard to balance family, work and being natural together. They would be bitchy in one area, alas I just don't see it in Calvis. Hope you all enjoy this session like I did. We sure had loads of fun and I still have fun checking her up regularly even if she barely knows. lolz.
*Tell us about you and yours?
I am Calvis , am 33 years young. Happily married to Will my amazing husband, also the happiest mother of baby Trip. I am also an educator by profession. Am currently a doctoral student at Kingdom College of Natural Health majoring in Botanical Medicine. Calvis is the founder of Coiffed Café and Rooted soul Herbal Infusions. This are the areas of my life that gives me joy.

*You have amazing kinks, could you tell us a little about it?
I have named my kinks Juanita lolz, I have fierce naps nd I absolutely love them as beautiful as they are. Juanita ia a mix of tight coils and spongy zigzags.

* Lolz I jut love the way you said spongy zigzags, adds a new meaning to our hair. ok did you B/C or transition?
I transitioned until I had about an inch of new growth then I chopped it all off.

*Why did you decide to go natural and what was the reaction you 1st got when you went natural.
I went natural to get control of the dandruff in my hair and I got amazing  reactions and results.

*Did you encounter any major obstacles when you stared your journey.
No I did not experience any major obstacles, just had to get used to short hair, but I started wearing my natural hair right away.

*What's your typical regime like and what works best for you.
I wash and condition Juanita every1-2 weeks. The only thing that goes directly on my scalp is some type of castor oil blend. I seal my hair on wash days, midweek I shower without covering my hair. That counts as my steam treatment and I follow up with a moisture cream and some oil or shea mix.

*What makes your hair stand out?
My hair aka Juanita stands out because I absolutely love and I embrace my kinks.

*With your schedule, how do you dedicate time  specially for your hair?
I really don't know, I just make sure to find time whenever my hair needs it.

*What do you have to say to those contemplating or scared to return natural?
I am at the point now that I don't try to convience people to go natural. However I do answer questions about the process of going natural.
* Where can we find you online?
